I found some fun notions this past weekend that I am anxious to integrate into upcoming projects. The bright and fun buttons were on sale, so I stocked up for later use in bags, clothing, and whatever else I can dream up. The little bags are bling-a-lious stones I am wanting to use for the girls' back-to-school bags. My last great find was a huge bag of hand embroidery thread at a local re-sale store for $2! I have seen a few bloggers add some hand embroidered touches to quilts, which I have wanted to try as well.
I am spending this week redoing a couple of rooms using primarily decor I already have around the house. I am turning the office into my sewing room and am re-designing the formal living room in order to add the girls' computer, which will stay hidden away in a pretty armoire when not in use. I will post pictures when I complete the projects.
My name is Courtney and I live with my family in a suburb outside of Dallas, Texas. I love to sew, embroider, craft, and am a total fabric addict! I rarely work from a pattern, but instead prefer to develop my own. I love reading other bloggers sewing adventures and seeing their creations. I am married to a smart, funny, and overall charming man. Our three beautiful, yet nutty girls, keep us very busy. Mary Alex (13) is our blossoming drama queen; MaKenna (9) loves to entertain the masses with her tall tales; and Morgan (8) is as cute and spunky as a kid can be! I am blessed with a career I love as well!
