First Day of School Excitment & My First Messenger Bag with Lunch Bag

The girls were excited to start school today. Morgan even slept in her new high-top shoes! They didn't really match what she was wearing, but I couldn't tell her and break her heart. Morgan asked me to make her a messenger style bag and matching lunch box, which is shown below. I think the fabrics are really fun! She loved both and loaded up the pencil holder slots I added immediately. MaKenna decided late last night that she would "let" me make her a lunch box, but she wanted to buy her bag at the store. Of course Mary Alex thought she was way too old for me to make her anything. She also thought she was old enough to determine the outfit she wore today was totally awesome. (Um, she may regret that decision in the future when I pull this picture out! hehe) I know the group shot is not great, but trying to get a good shot of all of them together was like herding cats! LOL

  2. I didn't use a pattern, I just read some tutorials online to get a general idea of how I wanted to constructed, and then I made it up.
