A friend of mine emailed me last week asking if I could make a nap mat cover for her cutie-patootie daughter. She is starting pre-school this week and her mom found out she needed the cover at the orientation. I quickly said yes and was excited to get to use the heavy duty fabric you see in the picture, which I had been stashing away.I basically made it like a big pillowcase with a zipper along the end to keep it from slipping off the mat. I incorporated French seams all around so that it wouldn't fray when washed. Best of all, Olivia and her mommy came to pick it up and we all went to lunch with another friend. She is probably the best behaved and sweet 3 year old I have ever met!

My name is Courtney and I live with my family in a suburb outside of Dallas, Texas. I love to sew, embroider, craft, and am a total fabric addict! I rarely work from a pattern, but instead prefer to develop my own. I love reading other bloggers sewing adventures and seeing their creations. I am married to a smart, funny, and overall charming man. Our three beautiful, yet nutty girls, keep us very busy. Mary Alex (13) is our blossoming drama queen; MaKenna (9) loves to entertain the masses with her tall tales; and Morgan (8) is as cute and spunky as a kid can be! I am blessed with a career I love as well!
